Sayadaw U Nyanavudha Tuladhar

Venerable U Nyanavudha, born on March 23, 1987, in Lalitpur, Nepal, has dedicated his life to the practice and teaching of Vipassana meditation, spreading peace and insight to yogis worldwide. His spiritual journey began at the age of sixteen when he was ordained as a novice by the late Venerable Panditarama Sayadawgyi at the International Buddhist Meditation Center, Kathmandu, on March 4, 2004. Soon after, he traveled to Myanmar to deepen his meditation practice at the Panditarama Meditation Center.

At nineteen, Venerable U Nyanavudha took higher ordination as a monk, further committing to the path of wisdom and compassion under the guidance of Venerable Panditarama Sayadawgyi. Over the following years, he immersed himself in the study of the Buddhist scriptures, mastering the Pali language and completing extensive academic training. His dedication culminated in 2019 with the prestigious Dhammacariya degree and the titles of Sasanadhaja Dhammacariya and Vinayamamaka.

In 2012, he began his long association with the Hse Main Gon Forest Meditation Center, Myanmar, where he not only taught meditation but also played a significant role as the manager of the International Special Retreat for Foreign Yogis, helping many international students refine their meditation practice. His ability to blend both leadership and compassion in guiding students became well-known across the international meditation community.
Venerable U Nyanavudha’s teaching experience spans many countries, including Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Nepal. He has served as a meditation instructor at various esteemed centers, including the Panditarama Meditation Center, the International Buddhist Meditation Center in Kathmandu, and the Phuc Son Thien Vien in Vietnam. His teachings emphasize the cultivation of morality, concentration, and wisdom, in alignment with the noble teachings of the Buddha.
Currently, Venerable U Nyanavudha resides at the International Buddhist Meditation Center in Kathmandu, where he continues to inspire and support meditators, both international and domestic. As a member of the All-Nepal Bhikkhu Association and a board member of Pariyetti Books Publications, his influence extends beyond personal teaching to the broader Buddhist community.
